Important Update Village Green Applications- Public Meeting

The Westlands, Seabridge and Clayton Residents Association (WSCRA) are holding an Public Meeting at 7:30 pm on Tuesday 27 March 2012 at St Lukes Church Hall, Severn Drive, Clayton ST5 4BH.

This is an imprortant meeting to discuss the Village Green applications made by the residents affecting Clayton Road Field, "The Green" at Repton Drive and "Winchester Green" at Winchester Drive.

Your Borough Council have chosen to object to the registration of these village greens and we need as much support as possible to counter the objections.

Welcome to Save Our Green Spaces

Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough council plan to sell off seven of our publicly owned green spaces to private housing developers this year. The council approved the plans in secret meetings held in July 2010 and first advised a select few residents at the end of January this year. The following open spaces are under immediate threat unless we act now to save them: Clayton Road Field in Clayton, Winchester Drive & Repton Drive in the Westlands, Pennyfields Road in Kidsgrove, Shrewsbury Drive in Chesterton, Clayhanger Close in Bradwell and Thomas Street at Talke.

Act now to stop this madness in it's tracks before we lose our green spaces forever

IMPORTANT NOTE : The residents groups associated with the Save Our Green Spaces campaign have no party political allegiances and this website does not align itself with any political party.  Members of the groups will of course talk to local councillors, mps and government/ shadow ministers and their opinions will be reported here. We will also report on public figures who support our cause regardless of their political persuasion.
